Vassily K. is an artist from Moscow who tries to reach heaven through attempts in a wide range of sonic and poetic ways, from singer/songwriter's to experimental electronica and non-idiomatic improvisation. The main tool is an acoustic guitar.
Halster is the place, the space, the collective that reinvents itself every Monday night at six o’clock in downtown Malmö. Since 2008 the Sweidsh guitar trio Halster, consisting of Anders Lindsjö, Mattias Nihlén and Adam Persson, has invited curious muscians from all over the world for open sessions. An ominous occasion where the guitar meets its faith in the art of live free improvisation.
Sometimes, as in this case, someone records the mysterious event. This time, in an old bomb shelter where it happens, Halster hosted Vassily K., a multi-instrumentlaist from Moscow, and Martin Küchen, a saxophone master from Lund, Sweden.
